WELCOME TO THE BLACK GIRL DIGITAL AWARDS WEEKEND
What was meant to be a beautiful night celebrating Black female creators, evolved into a magical weekend of honoring Black Excellence in the Creator Economy.
On Saturday, November 4, 2023, Black Girl Digital kicked off their weekend hosting a pre-award show party sponsored by YouTube at Black-owned cocktail lounge and bar, Anansi. The evening was filled with vibes cultivated by a variety of YouTube creators, award nominees, and guests from Black Menswear. Light bites were served along with an open bar with custom Black Girl Digital inspired cocktail names. YouTube’s Lee Morris, welcomed the room and introduced LaToya Shambo, founder and CEO of Black Girl Digital. The kickoff mixer wrapped with guest appearances from the Black Girl Digital Awards hosts Tiarra Monet and Crystal Herry, Jackie Aina, Alliyah'sFace, and Kirah Ominique.
Closing out the weekend, on Sunday, November 5, 2023 the 2nd Annual Black Girl Digital Awards kicked off with flying colors. Hosted by beauty and lifestyle influencers Tiarra Monet and Crystal Herry, the room was filled with beautiful Black women and men content creators. Sponsored by Walt Disney World, the Black Girl Digital Awards show honored Jackie Aina with the Legacy Builder Award. Jackie delivered a heartfelt keynote that inspired those in the room as well as the virtual attendees. Award show visionary and founder of Black Girl Digital, LaToya Shambo, delivered an empowering speech to close out the show.
